Summary :
Taken from bible (New International Version) of Matthews
6:5-6 as it says about prayer :
5 “And when you pray, do not be like
the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the
street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their
reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close
the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees
what is done in secret, will reward you.
And from John 4:22 : 22 You
Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for
salvation is from the Jews.
The conclusion that we can take is that we
worship of Someone that we know and that means we have to have know Him.
Knowing God intimately and feeling His ultimate power and grace upon us that we
feel in our every daily life, both can give us a strong reason of wanting to
worship God in our private worship. And it’s important because when we bring
our worship to the people in church or to the people around us – we do public
worship – is the results of the overflow of our private worship. That means how
you lead people in worship is what reflected from your private worship. Private
worship is all about knowing God by having an intimate relationship with Him
everyday, and that’s what will strenghtens our faith. Simply if we don’t know
our God well, then how do we introduce God to people?
Applications :
- --
Private worship with singing His worship songs
everyday
- --Treat God not as a stranger, but as a close feature
of relationship.
- --Taking constant devotion by pray and reading
bible everyday.
